relativistic motion. Its twelve chapters cover the fundamentals of motion, Newton's laws of motion, the concepts of energy, potentials and fields,
the rotating motion of point objects and the rotation of rigid bodies, a discussion of derived forces, an introduction to fluid motion, thermal
motion, oscillatory motion, wave motion and finally to relativistic motion within the framework of the special theory of relativity.
This book was written for college students majoring in natural sciences or engineering fields as an introduction into the fundamentals of physics. However, younger readers such as high school honor students with an interest in physics & engineering should also be able to work through the material with significant gain. Of course, this introductory text should also be of interest to science readers in general.
